Canada invites hundreds of thousands of Immigrants every year and it is true that Canada is sometime called a land of immigrants.

The skilled worker class is the lifeline of Canada’s immigration program. However there are other programs such as entrepreneur, investor and self-employed class also pay an important role in Canada’s Immigration policies. Canada believes in unity of families and therefore always allowed its citizens/permanent residents to sponsor their relatives from their native countries.

Canadian constitution allowed all the provinces of Canada to select their own immigrants based on their skill shortage and requirements. Therefore now there are almost all the provinces and territories are entered into agreement with the federal government and set up their own selection scales as per their requirements. This program is called Provincial Nominees Program (PNP). The Province of Quebec completely handle all its selection procedure of new immigrants for the province of Quebec except medical and security clearance.

The Government of Canada has always encouraged skilled workers to migrate to land of opportunity and make Canada their homeland.

The time frame for the new announced immigration occupations is reduced to 6 to 12 months from previously backlog applications where the time frame was approximately exceeded from 4 to 5 years.
